To those of you familiar with the Linux and the FOSS community
A weekend long Linux Users Group meeting with hundreds of other geeks, nationally acclaimed guests, its own wireless network, hotel room parties, lots of folks talking about Science Fiction and Fantasy, a place to buy cool t-shirts and buttons and such, amateur singing, anime, a costume contest, and free caffeine and snacks always available.
Penguicon is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit convention which brings together people of disparate interests—makers, foodies, costumers, software developers, musicians, gamers, and just about anything else you can think of—for a weekend of sharing one another’s interests and enthusiasts in panels, workshops, demonstrations, and over some drinks in the Consuite.
Penguicon 2012 features an excellent line up of guests, panelists, and presenters from a large array of topics. The convention also boasts a Geek Prom, Masquerade Costume Contest, and Lego City; not to mention perennial favorites like Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, the Chaos Toy, and ConSuite.
In all, over 1,200 needs, geeks, and fans attend Penguicon every year to celebrate and share these things that we all love. We really hope you will come out and join us!
